“Il Castagno” is located well into the green hillside of the Oltrepo’ Pavese, close to Fortunago and near the fashionable thermal resort of Salice Terme. “Il Castagno” offers a very pleasant stay in contact with nature, breathing the clean air, in the midst of the silent hills and the green of the woods and the simple life of the country side.

“Il Castagno” was renovated from an old “casa colonica”, or rustic house; every apartment has been tastefully decorated, maintaining a country-side style, includine wood trunk ceilings and appropriate decoration in order to obtain a cosy and warm environment. “Il Castagno” has at its disposal seven apartments which are capable to accomodate up to 4 persons each. The apartments include a living room with a sofa bed and a cooking area, bedroom and bathroom; one apartment is available for disabled persons with double room and bathroom which has the necessary facilities. All apartments have colour television.

During the day it’s possibile to have long walks through the numerous country lanes that meander into the woods and green areas where deer, squirrels, hares and pheasants roam… and if you wish there are many historical and artistic treasures in Oltrepo’ and of the province of Pavia to visit.
